LUCA'S WORD

Disciplines: Slalom, Slalom Geant,
Super-g and Downhill

I spent the first four years of my life in Crans-Montana, where I also made my first attempts at skiing. With my family we then moved to Grosshöchstetten (BE), but during the winter we spent every weekend in Valais. At the age of six I took part in my first ski race, in the ski club "Les Barzettes". Since that day, skiing fever has gripped me. Although I would have liked to become a goalkeeper in soccer, my passion for skiing "won" and I chose this sport at the age of 14.

My ski group and the coaches played a big part in me achieving my first goal afterwards, the selection guidelines for Swiss-Ski. During this time, I was also able to complete my apprenticeship as a detail commercial specialist in a sports store.

Since the 2013/2014 season, I can fully concentrate on skiing and race mainly slalom at World Cup level. My biggest success so far is the World Championship title in St. Moritz in the Alpine Combined 2017 and a second place in the World Cup Slalom of Madonna di Campiglio 2017. Two difficult years followed these great results, but since 2020 things are looking up again. I have never lost the will to improve and I am ready for more!

Welcome to the official Luca Aerni Fan Club page. Our association aims to support this young talent throughout his sporting career.

To do this, we will organize some events and travel to different World Cup and European races. In particular, the World Cups in Adelboden and Wengen as well as the finals in Meribel are organized.
To become a member, simply complete the registration form. Note that only people under 18 will be considered as children of a family.
In addition to benefiting from unique experiences on Cirque Blanc, you will be able to acquire various items bearing the effigy of the Fan club. (Caps, jackets, hats…).
